Safe Haven is about a woman named Katie who comes into a small town Southport, North Carolina, to start over. She finds a small cottage to rent and begins working at a Diner in town. Although reluctant to make relationships at first, she becomes close with her only neighbor, Jo. Jo hints to her about the local man, Alex, a single father who owns the convenience store in town. While hesitant at first, Katie finds herself falling for Alex and his children, but worries for their safety.
The reader finds themself wanting to know where Katie came from, why she is running away, and if she will ever find peace from her past. This is not the typical love story and the element of danger ties you in. The twist at the end of the story makes it a perfect read!
