My mom and I joined Weight Watchers on Wednesday. I wasn't so sure about it, but after I went to the meeting I love this program. When we were on the 17 day diet, there were so many limitations. With WW, you can honestly eat anything, you just have to count your points and make sure you don't go over them. You even get extra "weekly points" that you can use if you want to go out to eat, or if you go over your daily points. I think this will be good for both of us, but I am nervous about the weigh in. I mean, it's not like Biggest Loser where you have to weigh in front of everyone and your weight is on a huge screen, but still.
I also started The 30 Day Shred on Wednesday. I will tell you, Jillian definitely kicks my butt daily but it's worth it. I can already tell a difference in my body, and that is awesome. I plan to do some running/jogging in addition to the video as soon as it gets warm enough. Parker will enjoy it, and I'm excited to try out the Baby Jogger doing what it's made for.
As a reward for all of my hard work and dieting, I bought a tanning package. I love to tan, not just to look good but for that 20 minutes of me time. Just to lay there and do absolutely nothing is such a stress reliever. Of course, yesterday I fell asleep in the tanning bed so I'm a little pink now so I won't be able to tan again until tomorow. That's okay though, after working all day I might not feel much like tanning anyways.
I am ready for Parker to start his new school on Monday. I know it's going to be so good for him, and since he goes at 1:30 and I don't have to be at work until 3 I should be able to get my tan, workout, and shower in before then...maybe, we will see. On Fridays he is going to be at daycare for a full day! I'm usually off on Fridays... I'm not sure what I will do with a full day without Parker. I don't think that I've had a full day without Parker since he's been born (unless it was to go to school/work,etc.) I know it is what's best for him, but I hope it's good for me too. They say it will be, to give me time to myself, but it almost feels selfish. I'll keep you updated on how I'm feeling about that...

Good for you! "Mommy time" is much needed and I totally agree that the tanning bed is the best place to relax with nothing else to think about. I try to tan at least 3 days a week, and just like you, not so much for the tan, per se, but the relaxation I get while in there for 20 minutes.
ReplyDeleteAnd a full Friday to yourself?? AWESOME!!
